Salary: Meridian Support Staff Pay Scale Grade 7 point 12 to 19
Actual Annual Salary - £20,970 to £23,510 (FTE £27,711 to £31,067)
Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30am-3.15pm and Tuesday 8.30am-4.30pm
Term time plus 5 dedicated staff training days (39 weeks)
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, skilled and enthusiastic HLTA to join our growing school. which opened in September 2023. This is a unique opportunity to play a key part in developing a new school; getting it right from day one.
The role is to plan, oversee and deliver high quality interventions, ensuring that students have the necessary skills to thrive and learn. This role is particularly geared towards interventions in the core subjects of English and maths; working alongside the SENDCo and heads of departments to close gaps and address misconceptions. You would monitor the effectiveness of interventions, gauge progress and ensure the right students were accessing the right interventions at the right time.
The successful candidates will have an uncompromising commitment to student achievement with a mind-set that all young people can experience success. Weldon Village Academy will grow year by year, from an initial intake of 120 Year 7s in September 2023, until eventually reaching its full capacity of 1500, including a 6th form of 300 students.
