Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for Whitefield Primary Academy. The purpose of the post is to provide regular classroom cover for class teachers, leading lessons and managing whole class in order to secure leaning progress and high standards of behaviour. The successful applicant will have previous experience of leading whole classes, either as an experienced HLTA, as a cover supervisor or perhaps as a Teaching Assistant , stepping up to cover teachers. An HLTA qualification is preferred but we will consider applicants with relevant experience, who may not yet have completed the HLTA qualification.

Two years experience working within a school environment is required for this post.

Working Hours

33.75 Hours per week- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8.15am - 3.45pm

Wednesday - 8.15am - 5.00pm ( to attend staff briefing)

1 hour break, term time plus 5 days

Temporary basis to cover Maternity Leave

£25,463 actual annual salary
