The exciting newly created role of Learning Gateway HLTA is a position that sits at the heart of our commitment to nurturing every young person’s wellbeing, confidence, and readiness to re-engage with learning. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a profound difference to students who are experiencing barriers such as anxiety, EBSA, low mood, or other challenges that impact their ability to thrive in a busy school environment. As part of our dedicated Learning Gateway team, you will build strong, trusting relationships, provide expertly tailored emotional and academic support, and play a central role in helping students rediscover their strengths, reconnect with their learning, and take steady steps toward reintegration into the mainstream classroom.

Main Duties:

  • To provide day-to-day support, supervision, and guidance for students accessing the Learning Gateway provision due to EBSA, anxiety, low mood, or other medical barriers to mainstream learning.
  • The role focuses on developing positive relationships, supporting learning activities, promoting wellbeing, and helping students build confidence and readiness for gradual reintegration into mainstream lessons.
