Looking for an opportunity to take your teaching support skills to the next level? As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you'll play a crucial part in delivering high-quality education and helping students achieve their potential.

What will you do?

  • Support child learning by acting as a role model, meeting personal needs while encouraging independence
  • Assisting children with special educational needs through specific programs and individual education plans (IEHCPs)
  • Ensure compliance with child protection, health, safety, and data protection policies
  • Participate in ‘out of school’ activities and professional development opportunities

What are we looking for?

  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Excellent level of literacy and numeracy skills or qualifications to NVQ level 2 English and Maths
  • Experience of working with children with additional learning needs
  • Ability to understand the role of parents and carers, with the ability to relate and build excellent working relationships
  • Ability to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils progress
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school
