What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an experienced HLTA, who is passionate about supporting students with SEMH needs to enable them to make a smooth transition into their mainstream secondary school.
Moulsham Enhanced Provision, based at Moulsham Junior School, offers support and advice to all Secondary Schools in Mid-Essex and can offer up to 8 placements to students who would benefit from a more bespoke transition from KS2 to KS3.
Applicants should be able to:-
- demonstrate experience of planning and delivering engaging, dynamic and practical lessons, planned around the students’ interests across the curriculum either in KS2 or KS3,
- show an excellent understanding of how to remove barriers to learning by recognising the needs of individuals and developing flexible provision,
- show knowledge and understanding of attachment theory and Trauma Perceptive Practice or a willingness to learn about these areas,
- demonstrate the ability to establish rapport and respectful, trusting relationships with students, their families and other adults.
