What skills and experience we're looking for

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering learning activities to individuals, small groups, and classes under the direction of teaching staff
  • Supporting the planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities
  • Leading structured interventions to support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Supporting pupils with SEND to access learning and make progress
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and well-organised learning environment
  • Liaising effectively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • HLTA status or a willingness to work towards it
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative
  • A calm, professional, and flexible approach
  • Experience of working with children, ideally within a SEND or specialist setting
  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

This is a 33.5 hours per week, term-time only position and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to further develop their skills within a school committed to high standards of care, teamwork, and inclusion.
