HLTA (SEN) job summary

Hours – Monday to Friday 8.45am to
3.30pm – 31.25 hours per week (30 minute unpaid lunch break) Term time only
plus 5 training days 

We are an
excellent values based Church of England Lower School that aims to welcome
everyone and provide the very best education to all of our pupils.

We are looking
to appoint a highly motivated, flexible and experienced High Level Teaching
Assistant to work as part of a professional team working with children with
social, emotional and behavioural difficulties in our nurture provision.

Successful
applicants should have at least 3 years’ experience working with children aged 4-9 with SEMH within a school setting. Level 2 Team Teach training and
training relevant to the role e.g. PDA, trauma, ODD would be an advantage.  

The ideal
candidate must be resilient, patient and have good communication skills in
order to build positive relationships with children and their families. The post
involves a midday supervisory role providing additional pupil support during a
lunch period.

Candidates must
support the school vision, values and ethos.
