HLTA - SEND job summary
Maternity Cover from February 2025
37 hours per week, School Term Time plus 1 week (39 working weeks)

This role will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of intervention. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring students and assessing, recording and reporting on students achievement, progress and development. The successful candidate will also support the effective and efficient running of SEND department and all aspects of the administration related to it. You will be responsible for; creating a warm and welcoming environment, promoting and supporting effective communication with school and parents, supporting effective day-to-day organisation within the school. The successful candidate would need a good understanding of SEND in schools, working and communicating with parents and services.
