What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a HLTA who can demonstrate the ability to motivate, support and enthuse pupils.
As a HLTA you will be working with the class teachers, SENDCO and other members of staff to provide curriculum support and interventions for our children.
The role includes:
- Delivering high-quality lessons across the school during teacher release time. The successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility for the planning and delivery of learning activities during the school day for individuals, groups and whole classes
- Has experience of working with children with SEND
- Building strong, positive relationships with children in all year groups.
- Using effective and restorative behaviour strategies to support individuals and classes.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with experience leading learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- A HLTA qualification or QTS is required for the Grade 5 salary.
- Has a strength in SEND support and a calm, consistent approach.
- Understands how to support children with SEMH and additional needs in a respectful, inclusive way.
- Is flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to the needs of different classes and situations.
- Works well as part of a team and shares ideas to improve provision.
- Is passionate about making a difference especially for children who need extra support to succeed.
