HLTA job summary

Wrestlingworth C of E Infant School and Dunton C of E Junior School Federation are small, friendly village schools.

Both of our schools have recently been recognised as ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED (December 2023).

We are entering an exciting period of change for our two small rural schools as we develop a split site primary school from September 2024, as part of the CBC Schools for the Future project.

Wrestlingworth is now Central Bedfordshire’s only Infant school, taking children from Reception to Year 2. Children then transfer to Dunton Junior school from year 3 and stay through to year 6.

There are lots of exciting changes ahead for both schools and we are looking for a strong, dedicated team to support us on this journey.

We are looking for an experienced, committed HLTA to work closely with the class teacher, supporting children and groups of children as directed. This role is based at Wrestlingworth Infant School for 32.5 hours a week on a fixed term basis until August 2026.

The successful candidate will:

• support the values and ethos of our Church Schools
• be adept in supporting children's learning and understanding their next steps
• be able to develop positive relationships with our already strong active school community
