Home School Link Worker job summary
We are a welcoming primary school in the Oxfordshire town of Carterton, close to RAF Brize Norton. Our mission is to build a strong, committed team that works together to improve outcomes for every child. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join us as a Home School Link Worker.
Home School Link Worker (10 hours per week)
As our Home School Link Worker, you will be a key member of our inclusion team, working closely with the Deputy Headteacher/SENDCo and other staff to strengthen the vital relationship between home and school. Your role will focus on:
Promoting improved attendance, behaviour, and engagement for pupils by supporting them and their families.
Building strong links between school, families, and external agencies to ensure every child has the best possible opportunities.
Providing guidance and signposting families to appropriate services and resources.
Offering parenting advice and support, sometimes outside normal school hours, to meet family needs.
Improving educational opportunities and life chances for children through positive attitudes and strong relationships.
This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work flexibly to support families effectively.
