HR Administrator job summary
We are looking for a dynamic, efficient and highly motivated individual to join our busy, fast‑paced HR department 💼⚡.
The ideal candidate will have HR experience and preferably hold a CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate 🎓.
You’ll ideally bring:
- ✅ 2+ years’ office experience
- ✅ Experience in recruitment administration, processing DBS applications, and a solid understanding of safer recruitment guidelines 🛡️
- ✅ Knowledge of HR administration and HR data management within a school setting (advantageous) 🏫
You must be:
- 🔍 Detail‑oriented
- 💻 PC literate
- 🔄 Able to perform a wide variety of tasks to a high standard
- 🤝 A team player who supports the Trust’s schools
- 🎯 Able to multi‑task in a fast‑moving environment
Our central services team operates across London and Bedford, supporting:
- 🎓 9 schools (2 secondary with sixth forms + 7 primary)
- 👩🏫 520 staff
- 👧👦 Nearly 4,000 pupils
We manage Finance, Admin & HR operations across the Trust.
🔑 Key Focus of the Role
Supporting our HR Advisor for the Bedford schools:
- 📂 Helping populate our new HR system (SAMPeopleServe)
↳ Digitally scanning documents and files
↳ Auditing staff files to ensure consistent, accurate uploads
- 🤝 Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- ✍️ Good written and numerical skills
- 👔 Always maintains a professional approach
- 🚀 A can‑do, motivated attitude
- 💡 Uses initiative and is proactive
- ⏱️ Works efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- 🧠 Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Word & Excel
- 🗂️ Can plan, prioritise and re‑prioritise effectively
- 🔄 Able to step back, review work, and determine next actions
- 😌 Calm, unflappable under pressure
- 🙌 An all‑rounder with common sense, enthusiasm, and a sense of humour
- 🤗 Works sensitively and supportively with the team
- 🔧 Flexible, adaptable and willing to take on reasonable tasks
- 🛡️ Ensures confidentiality, professionalism and discretion
- 👶 Promotes and safeguards the welfare of children
- 📘 Adheres to all school policies
