Location: Locking, Weston-super-Mare

Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 37 inset hours per academic year

Salary: £23,089 per annum (actual salary, paid evenly across 12 months)

Contract: 12-month fixed-term (potential to extend)

About the role

As our HR & Payroll Administrator, you will:

  • Manage day-to-day HR and payroll administration across the Trust
  • Support the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, payroll processing, leaver administration
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with GDPR
  • Handle recruitment administration, including job adverts and compliance checks
  • Act as the first point of contact for staff queries
  • Assist with reporting, audits, and policy implementation

You will have:

  • Previous administrative experience with strong organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Teams); systems training provided
  • Professional approach to handling confidential data
  • Positive, proactive attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
  • Experience in education is desirable but not essential
