About this Role

Baskerville School is a special education needs school for 190 secondary-age students between 11 and 19 with autism and additional disability. We are looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to undertake responsible for all HR related duties including recruitment, employee relations, staff attendance and welfare, payroll admin and processing. Additional duties may include working alongside the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Middle Management.

The overview of the role includes:

  • To ensure the school meets statutory employment, equality, health and safety obligations and adheres to Baskerville School's guidance and procedures for HR.
  • To complete payroll, including overtime adjustments and pay allowances.
  • Liaise, when appropriate, with the Local Authority, Teachers’ Pensions, Local Government Pensions, legal departments, and other statutory and professional bodies.
  • To support the SLT with advertising vacancies and completing onboarding checks.
  • To maintain procedures to ensure the safeguarding of children, including the maintenance of a Single Central Record, DBS checks, DfE checks, academic checks and identity checks.
  • To be responsible for maintenance of up-to-date accurate personnel records in accordance with statutory and audit requirements.
  • To book and record the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of all staff.
  • To support the Headteacher and SLT with admin support.
