Humanities Subject Lead Teacher job summary

Shaftesbury High School is looking to appoint a Humanities Lead teacher from September 2025.

We are looking to recruit a Humanities Lead teacher who will provide learning that will make a lasting change for our students. This post will be ideal for a Secondary SEND teacher, a Humanities teacher or an Upper Primary Teacher who would like to work in a secondary setting. We are looking to recruit a colleague who is a team player and at the same time operates with initiative in the school’s intent.

Humanities is a popular subject. The Humanities Curriculum is ambitious, well planned, and places student learning at its heart. The Humanities lead teacher is an important position at Shaftesbury High School. The Humanities Lead ensures that students at Shaftesbury receive a well-constructed, progression based education with clear end goals for each level.
