Humanities Teacher - History & Philosophy, Religion & Ethics job summary

The role

  • Teaching at all levels within a dynamic, energetic department
  • Planning and preparing lessons to reflect individual needs of students
  • Regular assessment of students in line with departmental and school policies
  • Fulfilment of tasks as set by the Head of Department
  • Participation in meetings with colleagues, parents and students relating to the responsibilities listed above
  • To discharge a duty of care to all students in the school.
  • To be aware of, and operate within, all policies relating to student welfare and guidance, especially in the area of Child Protection.

The ideal candidate

  • Honours degree in a relevant subject and Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience teaching A-Level is desirable
  • Applications are equally welcome from experienced or newly-qualified teachers.
