What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic Teacher of Business Studies to lead our BTEC Extended National Diploma provision.
Ashmole Academy, a high achieving, mixed comprehensive school in North London, is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Business Studies to lead BTEC Extended National Diploma at KS5. As the BTEC Business Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across the team. You will also have the opportunity to shape the future of our BTEC Business course through innovative curriculum design and assessment.
Business Studies is part of the Humanities faculty, an extremely successful and innovative team of specialist staff teaching the subjects within it. These include:
- Business Studies at KS4 and 5
- History, Geography and Religious Studies across all year groups
- Sociology, Politics and Economics at KS5.
The Humanities subjects are extremely popular and there are multiple classes at GCSE and A Level where we have a strong record of examination success. Our Humanities team constantly contributes towards pedagogical improvements across the school and they strive to offer students an engaging curriculum. This is complemented by a strong extra-curricular provision and annual trips.
