ICT Cluster Technician - Cluster Nine - Reading Area job summary
The Cluster 9 ICT Support Technician will work across our four Reading schools: Green Park Village Primary Academy, Ranikhet Academy, Civitas Academy and The Palmer Academy. You will need to be able to travel between the schools to support them.
We are seeking to recruit a professional, personable, and conscientious individual as Cluster ICT Support Technician to join our shared service function. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a hard-working, diligent, and fast-paced team who strive for the best and enjoy working together!
The Cluster ICT Support Technician will be responsible for providing IT support to Shared Services and School staff. Based in schools, this role will be on the front line and the face of the IT Services department and required to attend sites within their cluster of schools to install and maintain IT hardware and software, escalating more complex issues where appropriate.
This is a school-based position and travel will be required to school sites therefore flexibility with working hours and a willingness to travel is required.
We are seeking an individual with the following skills and experience:
Previous experience working in a customer-facing role
Good Knowledge of Network Security
Understanding of IT software and hardware
Good knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principles
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Highly organised
Strong teamwork skills
Respects confidentiality

Green Park Village Primary Academy is a new primary school built in a new housing development in Reading, Green Park Village, which opened in September 2020 in its permanent school building. In September 2023, the academy will have Reception to Year Three cohorts. The school will grow to be full two-form primary, with space to open a Nursery provision for pre-school children. The school serves a diverse community of families both local and from across Reading.
The academy has a small, passionate and committed team, working hard together to take us to the next level in our journey towards exceptional futures for all of our children. There is no doubt about it, setting Green Park Village Primary Academy up on its next phase will take vision, dedication and hard work, but being part of that exciting and rare journey will be very rewarding to see the academy continue to take shape over the next few years.
