ICT Technician job summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the team to assist in the delivery of first line IT support throughout the school including deploying IT hardware and software to users. You will need excellent interpersonal, communication and technical skills together with the ability to work accurately under pressure. A good general education, computer literacy and a ‘can do’ attitude is required along with the ability to work well in a team. Prior experience in an IT role is desirable.

The role involves providing initial triage and support for all ICT issues in the school, implementing fixes where possible, and escalation to senior colleagues where required. The schools’ systems comprise of a primarily windows network, with a Dell/Extreme networking core and wireless infrastructure with an embedded Microsoft cloud services ecosystem.

You will be a key member of the team to be part of and progress the school's ICT strategy. The role is very much intended as a learning role, with the opportunity for the IT Technician to work with more experienced colleagues to resolve complex issues, where possible.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for IT and strong IT skills.
