What skills and experience we're looking for
Clevedon School are looking to appoint an inclusion assistant to support a visually impaired student. The successful candidate will work with the student to support their learning, communication, social, emotional and mental health. The inclusion assistant will provide support in class as agreed by subject teacher and QTVI, whilst still encouraging/enabling as much independence as possible, whilst encouraging independence and ensuring the student is fully included, safe, happy and reach their potential in all areas of development.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a sound Level of Secondary Education
- Be able to act as champion for the child, ensuring their voice is heard and that it informs all planning and practice.
- Comply with Safeguarding, Child Protection and Data Protection practices
- Be committed to raising standards and embrace professional development through a mixture of school led and self-led options and embrace our philosophy of Be Kind Be Brilliant” in all that they do.
