Contract/Hours: Fixed Term
32.5 hours per week, 52 weeks a year
Salary Type: Teacher
Salary Details: M1 – M6 plus SEN Allowance (£2,813.43 per year)

♥ Children are at the heart of everything we do here at Milton Park Primary School. We are a lively and supportive mainstream primary school in Portsmouth with a wonderful Inclusion Centre for children with social, communication and interaction. ♥
Milton Park Primary School Inclusion Centre is a 16-place provision for children who have a primary need around communication and interaction. Children are taught across two classes. The curriculum and timetable are adapted to meet their range of needs. For those that are able, opportunities to engage with mainstream peers usually for playtimes, some wider curriculum and school trips are facilitated.
We are looking to appoint a teacher with proven experience of working with children with SEND to teach in our Inclusion Centre classes and support our SENCO in offering advice to adults working with children across the school with communication and interaction difficulties.
We are looking for someone who:
✔ -Has good interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children and families as well as colleagues and other professionals
✔ -Can manage a large team of adults
✔ -Can deliver an adapted and modified curriculum which engages children, supports their needs and enables them to reach their potential
✔ -Is well motivated, enthusiastic and has a good sense of humour
✔ -Has experience of working with SEND children
