Contract Details: 32.5 hours per week (8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday) 38 weeks per year
Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them thrive emotionally and socially? We are a welcoming and inclusive school seeking a calm, empathetic, and resilient Inclusion Facilitator to join our dedicated team asap.
Castle Hill Infant and Junior Schools are two established schools, working as one, based in Ipswich. Castle Hill is a vibrant school community within ASSET Education, creating learners who are equipped for the 21st century. We place great emphasis on developing children’s character, using our bespoke Learning Knights, restorative practices and Trauma Informed approach, in order to prepare them for the challenges that lie ahead in both their education and life.
We place a strong emphasis on positive behaviour support, emotional wellbeing, and restorative practices. With a proactive pastoral team and a commitment to early intervention, it’s an ideal environment to make a meaningful impact.
Role Responsibilities:
Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
Work 1:1 and in small groups to build self-regulation, confidence, and coping strategies
Implement behaviour support plans, targeted interventions, and restorative approaches
Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure holistic care
Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes
Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour
Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils achievement, progress, problems etc.
Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working with children or young people in educational, care, or pastoral settings
Be passionate about inclusion, mental health, and student wellbeing
Demonstrate strong communication, de-escalation, and problem-solving skills
Be confident using behaviour management techniques and supportive interventions
Be patient, compassionate, and committed to going the extra mile
Value continuous learning and professional development
