WHY ADVANTAGE SCHOOLS?

Our values are aspiration, honesty and respect and our vision is to create a family of exceptional schools, within
which students are empowered and supported to achieve extraordinary outcomes.  We currently run four schools in Bedfordshire –
Bedford Free School (secondary, Ofsted outstanding), Houstone School (secondary,
not yet inspected), Elstow School (primary, Ofsted good) and Queen’s Park
Academy (primary, Ofsted good) – with a fifth school (primary) joining us
imminently.  Our pupils will leave our
schools prepared for a fulfilling life, including the opportunity to go to a
great university and pursue the career of their choice. To achieve this, our
network of schools teach an academic, knowledge-rich curriculum enhanced by an
entitlement to enrichment for all.

We achieve our goals through the recruitment and retention of the best
colleagues and school leaders, developing talent through sector-leading
professional learning.  We foster
collaborative work, both across our trust and our extensive network of
professional contacts, to ensure our staff can learn from and contribute significantly
to the wider educational system.

We believe great staff make a
great school, so we look after our colleagues well. We value hard work, but we
do all we can to identify and eliminate unnecessary workload that could result
in burnout.

                                                          THE
PASTORAL AND SEND TEAMS

You will work with the
inclusion team so that we can deliver on our promise to local families –
that high expectations, superb behaviour and great teaching are the hallmarks
of this school. You will build on our strong systems, processes, and standards
to improve them further, bringing a capable and committed staff team with you.
You will be fully supported by the excellent team at Bedford Free School and
our wider network of executive and school leaders across the trust.

We will also expect you to lead strategically across the growing
trust of five schools, working with school leaders and SENDCos to maximise the
experience and outcomes of our pupils with SEND. We want to be a beacon for the
system, where pupils with SEND achieve at least as well as their peers,
including for outcomes, and expectations are unashamedly high.

SUPPORT
AND DEVELOPMENT

Career development is a priority. We
are outward facing, with partnerships across the country: our staff contribute
to the delivery of National Professional Qualifications, the Early Career
Framework and, as a lead school, the Behaviour Hub programme.   You will be joining us at an
exciting time - our multi-academy trust is expanding which, in addition to
creating exciting opportunities for our staff in the future, has further
expanded our capacity to deliver the high-quality induction and ongoing professional
development which will support you in your role.
