Inclusion Leader job summary
Inclusion Leader - 35 hours per week, 8.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday, Term time only (39 Weeks). Grade D - Step 1 FTE £27,779, Actual Annual Salary £22,536.84.
This role is of a temporary nature until August 2026 but the contract could potentially be extended.
We are part of the RAISE Education Trust which comprises Wildern Secondary School, Deer Park Secondary School and Boorley Park School. Our staff form a collective team that makes a difference to the lives of our students.
Boorley Park School is looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and approachable Inclusion Leader.
The successful candidate will coordinate and support school strategies for vulnerable children. They will also work with the Senior Leadership Team to address the needs of children who need support to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside school in order to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage, mentor and supervise the team of Inclusion Practitioners, conducting regular one-to-one meetings to review approaches and ensure the implementation of behaviour plans.
- Allocate staff duties and ensure adequate coverage within the nurturing space and throughout the school environment.
- Lead continuous professional development (CPD) for the inclusion team, focusing on best practices in behaviour management, emotional regulation strategies and inclusive education.
- Oversee and lead the Inclusion Practitioners in supporting children to regulate effectively throughout the school day, with the goal of maintaining high standards of behaviour and quality classroom learning environments.
- Establish, manage and maintain the regulation space, ensuring it is a safe, therapeutic and effective environment for children experiencing dysregulation.
- Develop and implement clear procedures for children moving between the classroom and the regulation space, including leading the team in supporting children to successfully transition back to class following a period of dysregulation.
- Work alongside the Assistant Headteacher to analyse behaviour data to identify trends, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and inform future support strategies.
- You will have very good interpersonal skills and be confident in dealing with students, staff and parents on a day to day basis.

Boorley Park Primary School opened in September 2019.
We have two forms of entry and the school was built to fill the basic need for more school places as existing schools in the area are at capacity or oversubscribed. Our purpose built school provides a safe and nurturing environment for children and sits at the heart of the community in the new housing development at Boorley Green.
We are part of the Wildern Academy Trust which includes Wildern School, a further 7-form entry secondary school is planned to open September 2021. This is an exciting time for the trust and all colleagues present and future.
