Inclusion Manager job summary

Reigate School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Inclusions Manager to join our outstanding, oversubscribed school in Reigate, Surrey. The role will involve: • supporting the work of the school in raising the achievement and aspirations of vulnerable students; • supervising the Children’s Support Centre, working daily with vulnerable students and building relationships; • developing and implementing long-term behaviour plans that will guide staff to support students to overcome barriers to learning; • assisting the Deputy Headteacher/Associate Assistant Headteacher in working proactively with children who are at risk of permanent exclusion. The successful candidate will: • have excellent interpersonal skills; • be able to create an effective, engaging learning environment; • be able to work with and champion vulnerable children to achieve positive behaviour outcomes; • be able to promote high standards of behaviour and a good working ethos; • be able to think through and implement strategies to enhance student behaviour; • know how to provide the children with a safe and secure learning environment. In addition, you will: • have demonstrable positive behaviour management skills; • have high aspirations and the belief that all students can achieve success; • have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills; • be a positive role model to staff and students, demonstrating a ‘can-do’ attitude; and • be committed to inclusion and equality of opportunity.
