We are seeking a resilient, patient and driven Inclusion Officer to join our busy and vibrant high school and help really make a difference to the futures of our young people. This is a key pastoral role, supporting students who have been removed from mainstream lessons and helping them successfully reintegrate into the classroom. This post is 35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. Please view the job description for further details of the role.

The successful applicant will:

  • be highly motivated, enthusiastic and have the ability to inspire pupils.
  • Have experience of working with young people in education, youth work, or a pastoral role.
  • Be able to manage behaviour calmly and fairly, with empathy and high expectations.
  • Communicate confidently with staff, students and families.
  • Be highly organised, reliable and able to keep accurate records.

    Stowmarket High School is situated in picturesque mid Suffolk with excellent commuter links to Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich. We are an inclusive 11 – 18 Academy and part of Waveney Valley Academies Trust. 6th Form is currently not being offered. Construction of a new school is now complete on our current site and we have moved into our new state of the art school.
