Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours, 40 weeks (term time plus 2 weeks)
Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am - 3.30pm
Salary: Pathway 6, £30,006 - £33,175 (FTE £34,314 - £37,938)

Your role:
As an Inclusion Support Officer at Queen Katharine Academy, you will support the inclusion of students with diverse needs, ensuring they have access to education and pastoral support. You will work with students who have SEND, SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, EAL students, and those at risk of exclusion. Your responsibilities will include developing strategies to improve student engagement, delivering 1:1 and small group interventions, and assisting in the development and implementation of pastoral and behaviour support plans. You will also monitor and support students' mental health and emotional well-being, promote an inclusive and safe learning environment, and work closely with families and external agencies.
To excel in this role, you should have a good understanding of inclusion within a school setting and experience working with children with diverse needs. You must be able to establish good working relationships with students and staff, provide effective feedback to teachers, and communicate with a range of stakeholders. Strong organisational skills, the ability to work flexibly, and a commitment to equality and diversity are essential. Previous experience in a similar role and working with external agencies is desirable.
