The Turing School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Individual Needs Assistant to join our thriving team.
As an Individual Needs Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, both within and outside the classroom. This involves:
- Providing tailored one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
- Assisting teachers in adapting materials and activities to meet individual student requirements.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, promoting student independence, and building their confidence.
- Working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to monitor student progress and implement effective support strategies.
- Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- This is an incredibly rewarding role for someone who is patient, empathetic, and dedicated to empowering young learners.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for supporting young people with diverse learning needs.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is adaptable, resilient, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrates a commitment to our school's values of diversity, innovation, respect, and aspiration.
- Has relevant experience or qualifications in supporting children with special educational needs (desirable but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate).
