The University of Cambridge Primary School is seeking to appoint an inspired educator to join us as Interim SENDCo from September 2026. This is an initial fixed-term appointment for one term, with the potential to extend for the right candidate. We are looking for a full-time commitment, though part time would be considered. We have over 630 children in 2026 and are a large 3 form primary school.

We are seeking applications from successful Key Stage 1 and 2 teachers who can express a passion for children and education. Applicants must hold the National Award in Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCO/NPQ for SENCO). You will be a confident and passionate primary teacher who has a passionate desire to remove barriers for children who have an educational need. You will love learning yourself. You will be able to demonstrate high expectations, a flexible and resilient attitude to challenge and commitment to providing irresistible learning opportunities for all children. You will have the interpersonal skills to model empathy, respect, trust, courage, and gratitude within a framework in which everyone is ambitious, innovative and inclusive.
