IT Network Manager job summary

Fairfield High School are seeking to appoint a skilled and highly motivated IT Network Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to apply their expertise and enthusiasm to have a meaningful impact on the lives of the young people in our school community. Working in close collaboration with the Excalibur IT Manager and Fairfield’s senior leadership team, you will play a key role in developing and implementing an IT strategy that supports the needs of our vibrant and diverse school environment.

This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week, working year-round (52 weeks). The salary ranges from £41,511 to £44,711 per year (NJC pay points 32–35) and includes 26 days of annual leave, plus statutory bank holidays.

This role encompasses the following responsibilities. Please refer to the attached job description for full details.

Collaborate with Fairfield’s senior leadership team and the Excalibur IT Manager to devise and implement an IT development strategy tailored to meet the needs of our dynamic and diverse school community.

Lead and manage Fairfield’s IT support team, ensuring they provide effective support to end users while serving as a point of escalation for ongoing or complex issues.

Oversee the management, maintenance, updates and security of the core onsite network and servers, as well as the off-site cloud services.

Act as the primary point of contact for all third-party companies who are contracted to support or make changes to the school’s IT infrastructure.
