IT Network Manager job summary
Larkmead School is looking to appoint and IT Network Manager to work in our IT Support team. The role is currently 37 hours per week all year round.
The main responsibility of this role for the successful applicant will be to provide 2nd/3rd line support to students and staff of Larkmead School and to local primary school(s), ensuring that the IT systems are efficiently maintained and disruption to teaching and learning is kept to a minimum.
The networks we support are based on Windows Server 2019 consisting of approximately 1200 users with 400 PC’s, laptops, iMacs and tablets. We support a number of dedicated IT suites with all additional classrooms having networked PCs running Windows 10/11, MS Office 2019, Office 365 along with a variety of educational applications.
Our ideal candidate will have an interest in IT and experience of installation and troubleshooting of hardware, Windows 10/11, Office 2019 (O365) and peripherals. The successful candidate will need to be able to provide their own travel provision for attending our supported primary school(s).
The successful candidate should also be able to work on his/her own initiative and have the ability to communicate at all levels both written and verbally. Applicants should be highly organised with a strong attention to detail and be prepared to respond to very occasional out of hours requirements of the work.
