IT Service Manager job summary

We are looking to recruit an IT Service Manager, to cover all schools within the Watergrove Trust (primarily based out of one site, with the potential to provide cover at all schools), working as part of a progressive and forward thinking team working across our primary and secondary academy settings. Delivering the effective operation, maintenance and repair of all our IT hardware and computer related resources throughout the schools and ensuring the integrity of our infrastructure.
The Trust is working towards a blended learning environment of education within the classroom and remotely using Google Workspace and other cloud based technologies. So your experience with cloud based technologies is essential. We will support your career development in line with your aspirations as well as those of the Trust through internal and external training opportunities.
Highly adaptive, knowledgeable, technical problem solver with experience of managing a helpdesk, you will be used to working in an environment which delivers outstanding customer service. You will need to demonstrate strong knowledge of server management, network device configuration and supporting users within cloud based environments. Troubleshooting and being able to resolve a spectrum of hardware and software issues will be second nature to you. The role includes the line management and development of direct reports to ensure that they are performing and delivering an efficient service to support the teachers and students and the development of the Trust.
A degree of flexibility will be required and a willingness to work unsociable hours/ weekends on occasion if called upon.

This post will be required to work across any of the schools within the Watergrove Trust, however will be predominantly based at one school.
