Hours: 36 per week, full time

Contract length: 24 months apprenticeship (depending on progress and completion of the Level 3 IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship) - with a permanent position offered at the end of the two-year apprenticeship, subject to successful probation

Salary: £14,133 - £ 22,857 per annum (depending on age and experience), in line with apprenticeship

Heathside Walton-on-Thames, an Ofsted Outstanding secondary school, is seeking a motivated IT Apprentice who is eager to begin a career in IT support.

This is a busy, varied, and rewarding role where you will support staff and students in their use of IT. You will gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting user issues, resolving technical problems, and assisting with exciting projects such as software and hardware installations, as well as Audio-Visual setups.

As part of this apprenticeship, you will receive off-the-job training one day a week delivered by Lift Schools, working towards a Level 3 IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to 2 A-Levels). This nationally recognised qualification provides an excellent foundation for a long-term career in IT.

Candidates should:

Have a passion for IT.

Be keen to learn, flexible and possess good communication skills.

Possess a full driving license.

Possess GCSEs English and Maths A*-C or 4-9 or a willingness to work towards functional skills qualifications.
