IT Technician job summary

Summary

Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust is a West Midlands based multi-academy trust committed to providing high-quality education for all children in their schools through collaboration, challenge and targeted support.

We’re seeking an IT Technician join our central IT services team. Reporting to the Head of IT, the successful candidate will provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line support for the schools in our trust, primarily working with a group of schools around South Birmingham and Solihull. Your tasks will span a wide range of IT functions, from troubleshooting technical issues to assisting with network maintenance and contributing to the development of innovative digital solutions that enhance the learning experience.

This is a central position based at the BDMAT head office; however, travel to any of the schools in the trust will be required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proactive approach to problem solving
  • Enthusiasm for IT and technology
  • Enthusiasm for learning and self improvement
  • Experience supporting end users with technology
  • Knowledge of Office 365, Windows 10, and the Microsoft ecosystem
  • High standards of customer service
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Grade 4/C in Math’s and English or Functional Skills Level 2
  • Must hold a UK Driving licence and be able to drive due to traveling to different schools - Mileage is paid for any traveling on top of salary.
  • Based at Holy Trinity Primary Academy - Handsworth with travel to schools throughout the MAT
