IT Technician/IT Apprenticeship opportunity job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Larkmead School for or the position of an IT Technician following the recent re-location of a member of the team. This is a full time, 52 week contracted position working with the school environment. We would welcome applications from candidates seeking an Apprenticeship opportunity where the relevant time will be given for studying.
To work as a part of a small team to support pupils and staff in the appropriate use of ICT. You will also assist in maximising the availability of ICT systems by responding to and resolving first line support calls and co-ordinating our ICT helpdesk.
Applicants should be educated to GCSE Level or equivalent, and have experience with Windows 10, Office 2019, Office 365. You will require excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with staff, pupils and external agencies, as well as a sense of humour.
OBJECTIVES:
Support ICT service to meet the needs of students, staff and visitors.
Maintenance of a healthy and stable working ICT environment.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Desktop and application support
Network support
Health & Safety.
Support Request Management
