IT Technician job summary

Are you a skilled IT Technician looking for an exciting and rewarding opportunity? The Learning Academies Trust is seeking three proactive and knowledgeable IT Technicians to support our IT infrastructure during key project work. This fixed-term role is ideal for individuals with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering high-quality IT support in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of IT projects across multiple school sites
  • Support hardware and software upgrades, including troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Ensure network stability and security during project rollouts
  • Work collaboratively with the IT team to provide technical support to staff and students

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in an IT support or technician role
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Experience in an education setting is desirable but not essential
  • GCSEs Maths and English C or above and be able to illustrate good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Be able to travel between the 18 schools within the Trust
