IT Technician job summary
This position will be based across both our school sites - Mill Ford at Rochford, (Ernesettle) and Mill Ford at Riverside (Barne Barton).
Are you an approachable IT Wizard with a good sense of humour? We are looking for a dedicated IT Technician to play a critical role in keeping our school's technology running securely and smoothly. In this vital position, you will empower our teachers, teaching assistants and administrative staff by ensuring their technological needs are met effectively.
As our go-to tech expert, reporting to the Head Teacher, your days will be diverse and dynamic with main responsibilities including:
- Comprehensive IT Support
- Device & System Management
- Network & Security
- Strategy & Asset Management
- Compliance & Safeguarding
As a professional with ICT-related qualifications and a strong knowledge of Microsoft and Apple systems, you will be:
- Hands-on - managing and maintaining hardware including iPads, laptops and interactive whiteboard systems.
- An independent worker with logical problem-solving skills, high attention to detail and able to prioritise you own workload.
- An excellent communicator who is happy to interact with staff and students, providing training and guidance when needed.
- A flexible, approachable personality who brings a good sense of humour to the team.
