What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential
Qualified teacher status.
Degree.
Knowledge and experience of teaching pupils in the Primary phase (Key Stage One or Key Stage Two).
Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding of children.
High expectations of positive pupilbehaviour.
A strong commitment to high standards through outstanding teaching and classroom management.
A sound knowledge of the NationalCurriculum.
The ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs of all children.
Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies and ability to use marking and assessment to improve learning.
Teaching and learning styles that help to create a happy, challenging and effective learning environment.
The ability to create a stimulatinglearning environment.
High expectations for children’s attainment and progress.
Well organised with a commitment to getting the best outcomes for all pupils and promoting the ethos and values of the school.
Ability to work in partnership with parents and carers.
Ability to develop healthy relationships with families, staff and children.
A positive, enthusiastic approach tolearning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training opportunities.
Creative, with the drive and enthusiasm to be a good team player.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
A commitment to continuingprofessional development.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
