Meadow Park Academy is a vibrant, welcoming school in the heart of a diverse community in the Tilehurst area of Reading, the county town of Berkshire.
We believe primary school days should be one of the most exciting periods of anybody's life, as new skills and knowledge are gained every day. Our teachers deliver an engaging curriculum both inside and outside the classroom, at our very own forest school, providing exciting experiences that make learning fun.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate Key Stage 1 teacher to join this dedicated team as we continue on our improvement journey.
Our children would welcome a teacher who will nurture their potential, encourage aspiration and maximise their enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Our Pastoral provision has been graded as Outstanding and we are looking for an individual to continue helping us to develop our pastoral and academic curriculum.

Essential educational requirements
Appropriate teaching and academic qualifications, including degree and PGCE.
Essential qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status
Evidence of personal commitment to continued professional development.
Essential skills and experience
Commitment to improving student learning and raising achievement.
Enthusiasm to inspire in pupils a desire to learn and participate.
Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
Well developed inter-personal skills and flexible approaches in using them with staff, students, parents and the wider community.
Experience and understanding of pupils of all abilities.
Experience of teaching within KS1 of a primary school, with proven success.
Experience of curriculum planning, assessment and moderation.
Proven record as a teacher whose pupils reach high standards of learning and achievement.
Wide ranging knowledge of current developments in the National Curriculum and its assessment.
Very good knowledge of inclusive curriculum and pastoral approaches to school improvement.
Specific knowledge of innovative educational approaches which make a difference to pupil outcomes.
