What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Head of Year who is passionate about the personal development and progress of young people. This is an opportunity for an exceptional existing, or aspiring Head of Year to make a significant contribution to the leadership and development of a year group.
Our aims are rooted in the intent that all our students will be positive in their attitudes to learning and will take responsibility for maintaining a safe and kind climate in School. Student behaviour reflects the high standards our staff have because students believe that we have their success at the heart of all our expectations.
The Head of Year will work with the Head of Sixth Form and the wider community to provide professional leadership, vision and direction for the Sixth Form to ensure all students are prepared for the next phase of their lives, post 18. The Head of Year will establish a culture that promotes excellence, equality and high expectations for all and will work to ensure the schools values are met and upheld, and that all individuals are safeguarded.
We would welcome applications from colleagues with a range of teaching specialisms, in particular the ability to teach History, RS, Psychology or Business Studies would be an advantage.
