Kindergarten Teacher job summary

Nant-y-Cwm is seeking a warm and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our expanding team. We are a small, nurturing Steiner Waldorf school with a deep commitment to the principles of Waldorf education and our Kindergarten is growing. We have three kindergarten groups, two of which are situated in our CADW listed building designed by Christopher Day. Our groups remain limited to 16-18 children, who attend three-four mornings per week with afternoon care available each day.

In addition to leading your own kindergarten group, this role includes mentoring an assistant whilst they undertake the Waldorf early years teacher training and so we are ideally seeking someone who has experience and qualifications that will allow them to foster the professional development of others in alignment with the values and pedagogy of Waldorf education.

Nant-y-Cwm is in an exciting stage of development. Our school and kindergarten is growing quickly and our plans to extend our provision to an Upper School in 2028 are already in motion. We warmly welcome visits from prospective applicants. This role would suit someone seeking either a fixed term position for one-two years or permanent employment.

Start date: September 2025

Application deadline: Open until filled
