Required ideally from January 2026 we have a vacancy for a temporary Kitchen Assistant to join our hard working team. You will work alongside the Cook and another Kitchen Assistant to regularly provide between 120-200 healthy nutritious meals each day. The role will include making sandwiches, monitoring stock levels, washing up, cleaning down, serving lunches to children and staff, and other general kitchen duties as required. Full training will be provided.
We are looking for a great people-person, someone who can carry out their duties efficiently and effectively.
We would like you to prepare and assist in the presentation and serving of food and drink in accordance with the requirements of good practice in Hygiene, Food Standards, Health & Safety etc. Training can be provided and there is the opportunity to gain formal catering qualifications.
You will be employed directly by the school and will be joining a professional catering team.
If you are able to work to deadlines, whilst at the same time demonstrating a bright and cheerful manner, working in a busy environment, yet still retain a sense of humour then you are the person we are looking for.
