Kitchen Assistant job summary

Furze Down is an outstanding special school on split sites in Winslow and Buckingham, which provides for 220 pupils with communication and interaction differences aged 4 to 19. We are incredibly proud of our school. Furze Down employs a dedicated multi-disciplinary team who ensure pupils, and their families, are at the heart of everything.  We pride ourselves on building positive relationships with our pupils, their families and supporting professionals.

We are seeking to appoint a Kitchen Assistant to join our in house Catering team.


We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate:

  • A willingness to contribute to the continued success of the school
  • Previous experience of working within a catering environment
  • A knowledge of health and safety and good hygiene practice in the kitchen ideally through the holding of a current Level 2 award in Food safety and Hygiene or a willingness to gain the award

Please be aware that this is a physically demanding role.
