Chiltern Wood School is an expanding Special School currently supporting 228+ students ranging from ages 3 to 19 years. The school is located over three sites in Cressex, Downley and Studley Green.

We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at the Downley site. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Kitchen Assistant will ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of children at lunchtimes under the direction of the appropriate person as identified by the school.
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school who have varying special needs. The Kitchen Assistant will assist as directed, with all aspects of the preparation of food and beverages to the standards required by the school and will be responsible for making lunchtimes a positive and learning experience for all.
The role may also include supporting the teams in a Midday Supervisor capacity - as per the job description and from time to time, support at our other sites may be required, though this will be occasional cover support.
Monday - Friday 10:30am - 1:30pm
Bucks Pay : Range 1b .6-10 (Actual pay - £8,039 - £8,359)
