Kitchen Assistants / Mid-Day Supervisor job summary

Are you caring, patient, and looking to make a difference in children’s daily school lives?

At Haydon Abbey, lunchtime is a highlight of the day! It’s a vital time for our pupils to socialise, enjoy our brand-new hall, and refuel for afternoon learning. We are looking for an enthusiastic new member to join our friendly kitchen team and help make every lunch hour a success.

What you’ll be doing: Working on a rota basis, you will help create a positive dining environment by:

• Setting up the dining hall and ensuring it’s clean and ready for afternoon lessons.

• Serving school lunches and supporting children as they eat.

• Encouraging great table manners and social skills.

• Assisting with washing up and keeping the kitchen area tidy.

• Helping maintain our first aid resources.

About you: No previous experience? No problem! We value personality over a CV. We are looking for someone self-motivated and positive who genuinely enjoys working with children.

The Details:

• Pay: £12.33 per hour (Bucks Pay Range 1, Point 5).

• Hours: 3 hours per day (shifts scheduled between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm).

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
