Job description

To carry out professional duties and to have responsibility for an assigned class.
To be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities.
To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education.
To ensure and commit to the highest level of safeguarding and welfare for all pupils

Undergraduate degree

Essential qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status
Continued Professional Development with recent in -service training

Essential skills and experience

Proven ability of being an excellent class teacher with experience of teaching within Key Stage 1
Have evidence of working collaboratively as part of a team
Know and demonstrate what constitutes quality and high standards in learning and teaching to raise standards and pupil outcomes
Have an understanding of the different ways in which children learn and the appropriateness of a variety of teaching styles to meet the individual needs of each child
Evidence of achieving and sustaining high standards
Know what constitutes appropriate and successful relationships with children
Show an understanding and commitment to the safeguarding and inclusion of all pupils
Know and use inclusion strategies for engaging all learners
Be able to support the school’s Christian values
Demonstrate effective organisational skills
Have and ability to communicate and work well with parents and carer
Have high expectations using a positive approach to promote excellent learning behaviour
