Contract: This role is part time initially 3 days per week (possibility for 5) from 1 September 2026 to 27 November 2026, with the possibility of this being extended to March 2027. This will be discussed in further at the interview.

Purpose of the Job

  • To carry out the duties of a class teacher as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document
  • To ensure the effective education of the pupils for which you have responsibility, providing a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum in order to promote their intellectual, physical, moral, spiritual and cultural development throughout the curriculum
  • To maximise the potential of each child in all areas of his or her development

  • To parents and pupils, to ensure effective and constructive home/school liaison

Fluency Duty

This role has been identified as falling within the definition of requiring fluency in spoken English. You will be required to speak English with confidence and be able to conduct a conversation and answer questions for extended periods of time using technical language where required.
