What skills and experience we're looking for
What are we looking for?
We are looking for experienced teachers or those at the early stages of their teaching journey. We welcome teachers to join our fantastic school who are committed to be as effective as they can be for our children. We will only recruit staff that can engage and inspire both pupils and colleagues.
Successful candidates will be resilient, hardworking and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that our provision is 'Good or better, everyday'.
We pride ourselves on being a caring and supportive employer with dedicated career development pathways.
We are forward-thinking, caring and, most important of all, a happy school where pupils of all abilities and social backgrounds achieve. Our children are at the heart of everything we do and all the decisions we make. Our children are well-behaved and always aspire to be “the best versions of themselves”.
We became a member of the Lion Academy Trust in September 2018 and are well on our journey to making Olympic Academy an outstanding school. We have a fully resourced school and an embedded Trust pedagogy. This includes a developed programme of investment in the IT infrastructure and environment of the school both internally and externally.
What we can offer you:
- A dynamic leadership team, to offer you the support and guidance that you need;
- Experienced teachers to mentor you with commitment, drive and a genuine smile;
- A commitment to reducing workload through key areas such as marking and planning
- Bespoke Trust CPD and external professional development opportunities;
- Teachers benefit from teacher development time in addition to enhanced PPA to support their personal growth;
- A network of schools locally which provide you with a group of staff, wider than your school, to learn from and be supported by;
- Cutting-edge technology provided by partners Google and Apple;
- All teachers receive a Chromebook that converts to a tablet, to support planning.
- A staff perks membership: providing loyalty rewards and discounts from retailers;
- Any employee assistance programme that is free to all employees and their families
