KS1/KS2 Class Teacher job summary

Do you have a passion for getting the best out of every child?

Are you able to work alongside your colleagues to improve your practice even further?

A £2500 recruitment incentive (R&R) payment for successful candidates applying directly to RLT for this role, is payable after a qualifying period of two full terms in this role. This includes a 2-year retention period. Please see our attached information sheet for more details.

We work across four Phases: Early Years (Nursery and Reception), Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2), Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) and Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6). Our classes in Key Stage 1 and 2 are mixed ages. We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner with vision and a passion for bringing out the best in all children and can make a real difference in our school.

Rose Hill is part of the River Learning Trust. We are an enjoyable and interesting place to work with a brilliant cultural mix and a broad, child-focused curriculum. Our children are enthusiastic learners, they like to ask questions and think carefully about the answers. Our children like to be involved in the community and in all aspects of school life. A belief in the potential and individuality of every child is crucial: and a sense of humour helps too!

We strongly encourage visits to the school. To arrange a visit, please contact Tina Flannery, School Business Manager, at:schoolmanager@rosehillprimary.org

Education has the power to change lives, communities and society for the better. At RLT we believe that we can achieve more for our pupils, trainees, staff and communities by working together rather than alone. Schools in RLT are united by a common belief in the benefits of working together, and by our commitment to shared principles.

OUR VISION is for our schools and SCITT to improve rapidly, continuously and sustainably: to be better faster together.

OUR ‘WHY?’ is that children and young people ‘only get one go’ in school and therefore as part of RLT we aim to ensure the best possible ‘go’ for our pupils.

OUR ‘HOW?’ is through the highest support and challenge for our schools and each other, underpinned by our principles.

Our employees benefit from a wide variety of support including extensive continuing professional learning and development opportunities, wellbeing and staff networks and access to Defined Benefit Pension Schemes (TPS and LGPS) for all staff. For more information on what it is like to work for the Trust, and the benefits you could access, please see our “Working in RLT” guide.
