KS1/KS2 Class Teacher job summary

Are you looking for a wonderful opportunity to work in a friendly and collaborative team? If so, Meryfield could be the perfect place for you.

Our well-resourced, two form entry school offers a stimulating and creative learning environment in a calm, well-maintained, school building set in beautiful open grounds.

All teachers have dedicated PPA time along with their year group colleagues and have the support of a full time teaching assistant who works closely with them to deliver high quality provision for all the children in their class.

Applications are welcomed from ECTs as well as more experienced teachers. If you are an ECT, we will employ you as soon as your course ends. This means that we can begin your induction with us early, you will get paid through the holidays and be ready to start in September.

At Meryfield everyone is valued and CPD for all is a school priority. We have an excellent record of success in supporting young teachers at the beginning of their career and many have progressed to more senior posts in our school. We also have free access to various wellbeing schemes offered by our trust, the Agora Learning Partnership.

We are very proud of our school and strongly encourage candidates to visit before applying as our children and staff will be more than happy to answer your questions and provide an insight into what life at Meryfield is like. Please contact our school office on 02089532106 and we will be happy to arrange an appointment for you to visit. We look forward to meeting you.

We follow the Agora Learning Partnership Trust Safer Recruitment Policy selection procedure for each post.

Meryfield is committed to safeguarding our children and young people. All post holders are subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service(DBS) check.

We may interview early for the right candidate.
